What do you think of this very cynical view on love?

That is why people need to date for more than just a year. They need time to get to know each other better. After a while the new wears off and you begin to see the person as they are. You have to accept them as they are as well. Too many people marry and try to change the person into what they want them to be, that never works and will always lead to problems. If there are issues while dating they should be dealt with and talked about. If they can not be resolved then one should move on. Love can be wonderful but it means both have to give in some and in turn take some. Many people today go only on looks alone then once they are with the person they see they can't stand them as they are and try to change them. That's when the big problems begin.
