Should the United States follow Iceland's example and repudiate its governmental debt to foreign countries?

there is one thing i don't under stand.america is owed trillions from around the world.that i hear never get paid.how about foreclosing.and why do we borrow from countries that don't owe us money.obama has an excuse.but are all the other branches that retarded.
